Premise
A good novel should keep you anticipating what is going to happen on the next page. It should be thrilling to read, and suspenseful, not revealing the end of the plot too soon. In this collection of novels you will find all the elements of good stories, a simple plot, good guys and bad guys, sudden twists in story direction, surprising events, and an end to the story… no wondering why the author didn’t finish the story.
Family Reads
The books are good family reads. One commenter lamented the fact I didn’t write as in real life, and should go down to the docks to learn how people really talk. However, I don’t believe you have to use a ton of unsavoury words to make a yarn.
About the Westerns
My five western stories portray life in the early days of development of North America, in the ‘west’. These are mostly enjoyed by those who grew up with plethora of western movies at the theatre, and on the TV. It was the era of Zane Grey and Max Brand. My father couldn’t get enough of Luke Short. In these stories I’ve tried to stay true to the geography of the locale where the story takes place.
From a reader
A great read for geology lovers and newcomers alike. The author does a great job of informing the read of geologic events while at the same time crafting realistic and complex characters. I could hardly put the book down and I hope Mr. Stoness writes more books like this in the future!
And another happy reader
Just finished reading it. Great Book! I was ‘on edge’ the entire time. The ending let’s your imagination go wild! Let’s hope this never happens for thousands of years, if ever.
The Earth Convulses
The novel “Hotspot” brings in the tale of adventure for those who live and work and play in Yellowstone National Park on top of the continent’s largest volcano and explores what happens when underground activity increases. Some interesting action here.
Ah, the Haunting
The Mystery of the Haunted Castle takes the reader on an unplanned trip to the jungle, and later to a visit with alien life on a far distant planet.
